Frequently Asked Questions - Careers

How do I apply for a position at Purple?

To be considered for a position, you must submit your résumé electronically and create your candidate profile. Each job posting will include contact details and step-by-step directions.

What happens to my résumé after I have submitted it?

Your résumé is promptly entered into our résumé database and made available to recruiters and hiring managers. If it is determined that you are a suitable match for a position, a recruiter will contact you directly for an interview via telephone.

How will I know the status of my résumé?

If you email your résumé, you will receive a receipt notification within 24 hours. Unfortunately, due to the volume of résumés we receive, we are not able to make personal contact with individuals who are not going to be invited in for an interview.

When can I expect to hear from a recruiter?

If there is an interest in your résumé, you can expect to hear from us within 30 days of your application. While candidates selected for interviews will be notified of their status, we regret that we cannot personally contact all applicants regarding their status.

I wanted to apply for a position that is no longer posted. May I still apply?

Yes. Although we prefer to accept applications for a specific available position, you can submit your résumé online for future consideration. We update our job postings regularly and recommend that you visit our site often to browse job postings.

Can I apply for more than one position at a time?

Absolutely. You are welcome to apply for any of our postings that you believe match your skill set and experience.

How long will my application be active in the database?

Each résumé submitted for a job is active during the recruitment period for that position.

What is the length of time a job remains open?

Most positions remain posted until the position has been filled. You can check our postings on a regular basis to find out what opportunities remain current.

How can I communicate directly with the hiring manager or the recruiter?

After you have applied for a specific job, your application will be reviewed by the recruiter and hiring manager. If your qualifications best match the criteria of the position, you will be contacted to schedule an interview. Due to the high volume of interest in opportunities with our firm, it is not possible for our recruiters or hiring managers to communicate with every candidate.

What is your interview process?

We begin the process with a phone interview. If there is an interest on both sides, we invite people in for an on-site interview with the hiring manager.

What type of response can I expect following an interview?

After an interview, the recruiter will contact you via email regarding your candidacy for the position.

How long do you take to make a decision?

Once we’ve finished interviewing all of the selected candidates, we try to make a final decision within a few business days.
